Orange is keen to be seen in a consistently stylish on-brand light at all times. So we were tasked with producing a new set of visual assets that would be provided to all handset manufacturers. We were asked to produce two generic home screen images, two screensavers and five wallpapers. Ultimately all consumers purchasing handsets as part of their Orange network agreement would have these visuals on their handset.
Following on from our initial conceptual work, Orange was keen to pursue our route of 'art in the every day'. This moved away from more conventional photographic routes and focused on 'seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary'. The everyday images and screensavers we created were shot in an abstract fashion and carried names that did not explain their identity. This ensured viewers engaged with brand imagery as they had to look closely to discover what the object actually was.
