We got a call on Friday from the BBC to go and chat to them about a rather exciting and extremely high profile project.  In fact, it is soooooo exciting we couldn't quite believe it.  We were told we have 45 minutes to do a creds presentation and demonstrate how we'd approach the project highlighting our innovation.  45 minutes!!! It takes Stu at least that to get through his first PowerPoint slide. They're inviting 6 agencies to chat about the project and will commi ...read full story

Well, our amazing run of winning new business came to a rather abrupt end this week in fairly spectacular style (if we do say so ourselves). We'd been waiting for a couple of weeks to hear about four projects.  Two legal firm web sites, a major redesign for a magazine's site and a the redevelopment of a technology company's site. And guess what.  We didn't get any of them.  What's even worst, they all called us to tell us within an hour of each other.  So af ...read full story

The guys from Triumph head down every now and then to have a bit of an account status update.  We all really enjoy these 'session' because, well actually, they're one of our favorite clients.  We often try to do them on a Friday afternoon so they guys can stay down to sample the delights of Bristol nightlife.  They've been pretty messy affairs in the past, so not surprising this time Lisa headed down just for a fleeting visit.Andrea didn’t come as she’s ...read full story

Only days after being appointed, the guys had to immediately jump into action and hit the ground running.  We'd already done a lot of pre planning on the off chance we won the project.  Just as well really.  We'd short listed 2 film crews which meant we could give one of them the green light almost straight away and we'd teed up the film studios too.  Peugeot had a fleet on cars on standby to ship into Bristol, so it was all go!!!So yesterda ...read full story

The guys hung around a little later last night to put the finishing touches to the 'villa' pitch presentation.  They wanted to make sure everything looked consistent, tone of voice was right and that it hung together as a nice little package.  They also decided to have a quick run through of the actual pitch presentation to make sure everyone was comfortable with what they had to do. "Okay everything looks good, we should be out of here by 7pm at the latest&quo ...read full story

We found out yesterday, that we'd won that very exciting automotive job we've been crossing everything for over the past month.  Bloody amazing! We had some really strong and exceptionally good competition from all the other rostered agencies, so we're very, very pleased to win this one.In the words of the client:"E3 really impressed us with the solidity of their strategy and how they brought the car to life with real creative flair and sophistication”.That's nice. The projec ...read full story

You've probably picked up that we've been pitching for quite a lot of work lately (no, really).  Although we have been pushing it at little harder than usual, we've also been very selective in relation to what projects and pitches to go for. There have been times where we've literally just thrown everything at whatever has come through the door, but we found that approach doesn't really work.  People get miffed off internally and your 'hit rate' goes down.  Ultimately we ...read full story

The guys got together in the sun to discuss this Friday's pitch with a rather exciting holiday villa company. We've been working on the pitch for the last 2 weeks. It's a big IA and design project and to be honest, we'd love to win it.  Travel, holidays, property, sun, luxury locations and beautiful people are, at the end of the day, all very 'nice things'.Several of the team have spent a long time getting to grips with their business.  We had a functionali ...read full story

Jinny's back!

After 6 months of travelling around the World with her boyfriend, Jinny's come back this week, and it's damn fine to see her! She's already got stuck into the mountain of work which has been piling up on her desk since she left in January, so the delights of Vladivostock and Libya already seem a distant memory...Seriously, she's jumped back into action working with the rest of the guys on First Plus and (rather bizarrely) the Border and Immigration Agency job which has just come in. Time to decorate

We agreed when we moved that we wait to decide what to put on the walls of the studio; thinking that we'd 'live in it' for a while.  Anyway, two months on, we think it's about time we worked out what we did with these very big white walls. We're getting together next week to think how we want to approach it.  The creative guys (as usual) have shed loads of great ideas re style, illustration and colours.  We've been ripping bits out of magazines and pho ...read full story
