Home Office Pitch

The KIA team had literally  just left the building, (after a 7 hour meeting, which went really well by the way - more later) and we got a call to ask if we were interested in pitching for a job with the Home Office. We said 'Yes' ofcourse.  We've been working hard to build our public sector and governement creds, so picking up another job straight off the back of our QCA work would be great. We got to win it first, obviously...The project is for the Border and Immigration Agency web sit ...read full story

Paul, Mike and Chris (below) are pitching in London this afternoon, for a very sexy job with a big modeling agency.  We finished the creative concepts last week, but when we all reviewed the presentation yesterday we thought it needed a little 'something extra'.  So, right at the last minute we decided to shoot some video and embed it into one of the creative routes.  Yep, a whole world of pain just as we thought we'd nailed it all, but it works and we're all r ...read full story

Bye Bye Marilla

Okay, so we've seen more rain in July than in the last 6 years put together, but we've just watched 5 men install 4 huge blocks along the river bank (and directly outside of the studio) we guess, to prevent the paintworks from flooding. We thought the Avon, which by the way hasn't broke it banks in decades, was actually starting to go down, but maybe the paintworks management team knows something we don't.  Mike and Stu looked quite pale with the thought.  What about our love ...read full story

Molly's back

After a year of going totally schitzo whenever she came into the office (after 8 years of being totally fine with it all) it appears that Molly has finally found solace in our new pad.  She still has her 'moments' but she's stopped trying to bite clients (you know that wasn't good for business...) and she doesn't go ballistic whenever someone shakes anyone's hand.  Go figure...anyway the Paintworks seems to be agreeable with the hound. Justa chillin ...read full story

The two V&A projects have kicked off this week and the guys are really pushing ahead with them both.  They’re two flippin interesting projects, one for the American fashion and fine art photographer, Lee Miller and the other is a site for V&A’s exhibition celebrating ‘the golden age of couture’. Can it get much better? We’re working on projects that include icons like Picasso, Givenchy, and Dior. So it’s surrealism, shoes and handbags all the ...read full story

We got a call on Friday to invite us to pitch to a major national newspaper group about a redesign, IA & user experience project involving over 20 of their websites.  Sounds very, very interesting, but they're meeting 12 agencies including most of the top 10 so they've got the 'great and the good' lining up for it.We're taking the team up tomorrow.  There are 12 people in the meeting and we have 40 minutes to 'do our stuff' and they'll make a decision as soon as.  If ...read full story

2 jobs for the V&A

Flippin heck, we've just found out that we have actually won both the V&A projects we pitched for last week, which is fantastic news. The guys are as pleased as punch, they're 2 amazing sites and we'll have loads of fun putting them together.  It  will also help us build our little arts/gallery/museum portfolio that we've been working hard to develop over the last year or so. These will actually be our 4th and 5th consecutive projects for the V&A in ...read full story

We are pitching at the moment for jobs with a big utilities company, a fashion and modeling agency, a major law firm, a international electronics company and a big overseas property and villa company. We’ve also just heard we've been short listed from four agencies down to just two on ‘that big automotive advertising brief’.  We’ve had some client feedback on our initial creative concepts so we need to tweak them a bit. On the whole the feedback was very positiv ...read full story

We’ve just found out today we’ve won a great project for a new client called, CheckFree. We went head to head against 3 US agencies to pitch for the account, so we're pretty pleased we've managed to bag it.It's a major IA project, combining 4 websites into one, which after our 12 month COI project for QCA, will be a perfect segue and will keep the guys busy for a while. You’ve probably never heard of them, but CheckFree is a fairly big US financial compa ...read full story

Some would call us crazy maybe even stupid, but a day after we pushed the button on QCA we also launch the BBC’s Memoryshare site. The project is an online service where visitors can post memories of events and add comments to other people's memories and contributions. We’ve also developed a flash memory timeline that displays everybody’s memories by date. Not quite as vast in size, but a strategically important initiative that was instigated by the director g ...read full story

It’s been our biggest project in the history of E3, but our very first COI project for QCA has just left the building. QCA are a public body that are supported by the DfES. They regulate exams and qualifications, like the National Curriculum, GCSEs, A’Levels and so on.  It’s been a mammoth web project, all 20,000 pages of it and it’s taken nearly a year of planning and development with a full time team working on it from the start.  The ...read full story
